FIFA 21: What comes next

We are 2 days away from FIFA 21 release. The newest iteration of a famous football simulator will be available on October 9. So, what comes next? The PC players might be disappointed in a few things, especially when it comes to next-gen graphics and features.

PS5 and XSX advantages

First of all, the next generations of consoles will have a few major benefits. Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X owners will get a free next-gen graphical update, all PC players will be settled to present generation visuals. PS5 and XSX upgrades require no additional cost. Despite the hate around EA, it’s a very generous offer from them. If you want to upgrade Black Ops Cold War to a next-gen version, for example, you’ll have to pay an additional $10.

The next major thing for console users is cross-platform progress. What does it mean? If you want to switch from PS4 to PS5 or Xbox One to Xbox Series X then all of your players, items, coins, FIFA Points, match records, and leaderboard placement will be instantly available on the next-gen console.

New gameplay features

“It’s all the same”. Each year EA tries to push new features, but at the end of the day these changes slightly affect the gameplay. This time developers claim “the most intelligent FIFA gameplay” to achieve a new level of creativity and control.

Agile Dribbling is supposed to make ball control even more useful, especially in a 1 on 1 situation. AI also gets an upgrade! Positioning Personality makes AI-controlled players follow your playstyle and position on the field. This might change the gameplay by reaching a new level of interaction. Creative Runs will give users more control over AI attackers. By directing runs and passes, players would make crucial decisions in goal situations.

EA also promises to upgrade the collision, passing and blocking systems in FIFA 21.

Volta, FUT and other bonuses

If you like Volta mode in FIFA 20 you’ll be happy to know that it’s back again in 2020. EA says this time players will experience even faster gameplay to create more action on the small field.

But the most interesting feature this year will be the Ultimate Team co-op gameplay. It creates a new social experience in Squad Battles, Division Rivals, and FUT Friendlies. This might be a cool feature for those who are bored to the bones playing online games alone.

These are the major FIFA 21 features you need to know about. As you see we’ll get a great list of goodies, but none of us can be sure they are working just fine. So let’s wait for a few days and make sure these are not a list of fairy tales. FIFA 21 is coming out on October 9 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
