Boosteroid creates NGO to support and develop IT products in Ukrainian video games industry

The full-scale war initiated by russia still rages in Ukraine. Daily missile attacks carried out by the invaders on civil buildings and infrastructure objects in Ukraine have left employees of many Ukrainian IT projects, especially small and medium-sized businesses, unable to work. This led to Ukrainian companies and game developers being in much worse competitive conditions than their foreign counterparts for over a year already, and in many cases they lost the previously hard-earned market share.

Boosteroid, with the entire team being involved, continues to provide comprehensive support to various Ukrainian organizations and Ukrainian people in many directions, including humanitarian aid. Despite the fact that several offices of the company were destroyed by missile attacks, the company continues to develop. In March 2023, the company signed a major agreement with Microsoft, which includes joint initiatives for humanitarian relief and support for the Ukrainian IT industry. In order to have even more opportunities for such activities, Boosteroid is already finishing registration of the Public Organization “Support for Ukrainian IT products in the video games industry” and will work even more systematically on the economic recovery of Ukraine and hold the economic front.

Together with international partners – the world’s leading technology companies, the organization sets the following goals for the wartime:

  1. Providing employees of Ukrainian companies in the video game industry (accredited by the organization’s supervisory board) with free, safe, and fully equipped workspaces in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Odessa, Dnipro, Lviv, and later in other cities.
  2. Providing training and free consultations for matters related to the video game industry and business development.
  3. Providing funding on a tender basis for promising Ukrainian projects in the video game industry.
