Boosteroid in Poland

Boosteroid launches a new quality of gaming in CEE with Polcom in Poland

Boosteroid, the world’s largest independent cloud gaming provider, has announced the launch of a new IT environment in Poland with Polcom. The cooperation with the Polish data center will significantly improve the quality of gameplay and increase performance for users in Poland, Ukraine and other countries in the CEE region. Boosteroid operates one of the largest GPU-based hardware infrastructures and provides a cloud-based gaming platform for more than 6 million users in Europe, North and South America.

CEE and Poland – a key market for Boosteroid

With the deployment of a new IT infrastructure in Poland, Boosteroid is focusing on minimizing latency, which will directly translate into smoother gameplay, faster response times and greater connection stability for players across Europe. This is part of a broader strategy and a nod to players in the CEE region. Currently, Boosteroid operates in South America, North America and Europe with active users in over 170 countries globally and approximately 5% of Boosteroid users are from Poland. The benefits of this investment will be felt by approximately 15% of all gamers using the gaming platform. The company plans to further expand its resources in CEE in the future.

– The deployment of a high performance server location in a data center in Poland is an important step in our growth strategy in Central and Eastern Europe. Poland is a rapidly growing gaming market with a highly engaged gaming community. Boosteroid’s local presence means a better quality of service and increase in the number of users. Launching the new infrastructure in one of the most secure data centers in this part of Europe, providing the right environment for high power density servers, means a significant reduction in latency, which will translate into smoother gameplay in demanding multiplayer and AAA titles – says Antonina Batova, Senior VP Infrastructure from Boosteroid.

Improved gameplay quality thanks to new servers

– The specific impact on game latency depends on a number of factors, including the player’s geographic location, network conditions and the performance of the IT environment. With the new server infrastructure in Poland, cloud gaming will become even smoother, more accessible, and most importantly, more efficient. The average latency for Boosteroid players in Poland has been 15-20ms – once the new server environment at the Polcom data center is available, this can drop to as low as 5ms. This is a huge advantage for any player who appreciates smooth online gameplay – explains Daniel Gołda, Key Account Manager from Polcom.

Thanks to this investment, players, including those from Ukraine, will benefit from a more stable and efficient connection, while a growing numbers of players from Poland and the CEE region will be able to enjoy Boosteroid’s optimized services. The company plans to further expand its infrastructure in Poland between 2025 and 2026, which will further enhance the platform’s capabilities.

Data center for security and efficiency

Polcom has supported our investment by providing colocation and technical support services. An important factor in choosing this provider was the availability of a data center infrastructure capable of delivering a suitable environment for GPU-based servers with high power requirements. Polcom’s data center provides us with the highest standards of physical and procedural security, as well as a technical infrastructure optimized for platforms that require high power densities and stable environmental conditions for IT devices – says Antonina Batova, Senior VP Infrastructure from Boosteroid.

The colocation in Polcom’s data center is characterized by the high security of the devices, which is maintained thanks to the appropriate location, the power and cooling systems used, the guaranteed environmental conditions up to the fire protection systems. Ensuring a high level of service availability and reliable connectivity, while allowing for infrastructure expansion, guarantees the satisfaction of the platform’s users and gives room for further development of the Boosteroid infrastructure in this part of Europe.

– Boosteroid’s new server infrastructure in Poland will allow games to be streamed at up to 4K and 120 FPS. The systems will be based on AMD EPYC™ 9374F processors and dedicated AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XT graphics cards. As a result, users will benefit from faster connection times and greater stability, even during peak periods. Gamers in neighboring countries, such as Ukraine, will experience significant improvements in connection quality and responsiveness, which is critical for dynamic gaming titles – concludes Antonina Batova, Senior VP Infrastructure from Boosteroid.
